MULTI-AGE CLASS: Teen to Adult
Adult Beginner Strings Classes
Learn to play an instrument, even if you’ve never played music before. Take your pick of violin/fiddle, viola, cello or bass. We will be learning in a fun, multi-instrumental setting, just like at school!
Why learn in a group vs. privately?
Learning in a group provides everyone with a more holistic and authentic experience vs. private lessons. The opportunity to learn with others in a safe and accepting environment – while collaborating to make music– is an experience that cannot be replicated via private lessons. Trust me, I’ve taught both ways!
With an experienced teacher, learning in a group can be much more motivating than learning on one’s own. Students often work harder and make more progress because they look to each other for inspiration, and look forward to the reward of making music together.
What you will need:
Please bring your own instrument and a folding music stand.

Cellists will need an endpin strap.
Music will be provided.
Classes:
Adult Beginner Strings Class
Thursdays – 6:00pm to 7:15pm
Want to learn how to play the violin, viola, cello or double bass from scratch? This fun, supportive class will teach you the fundamentals step-by-step, helping you build confidence, develop good technique, and make music from the very beginning.
Fall: September 10 to December 10
(no class November 19)
Fee: $490 (or 3 x $175) – 14 classes
Extended Earlybird $455 by August 31st (if paid in full)
Winter: January 7 to March 25
(no class March 18)
Fee: $385 (or 3 x $135) – 11 classes
Spring: April 1 to June 24
(no class May 6)
Fee: $420 (or 3 x $155) – 12 classes
Fee Policy:
- Full payment may be paid via e-transfer.
- If paying in installments, payments will be made through credit card on Stripe.
- Once payment is received, a confirmation email will be sent with details for the first class.
- Full refunds can be requested 14 days before the first class.
- A fee equivalent to 2 classes + $25 will be charged if refund is requested 13 days or less before the first class.
- No refunds will be granted once the first class has started.
