Have Questions?

Frequently Asked

Questions

Do I need to bring my own instrument?

Yes. Please see more info on purchasing or renting below.

Can you help me set up my instrument?

We will have time during the first class to make sure everyone’s instruments are set up properly.

Do you teach private lessons?

I am currently only teaching group classes. Feel free to contact me if you would like a referral to another teacher.

Where can I rent an instrument?

You can rent instruments at Long & McQuade at Bloor & Ossington. Here is their rental brochure. The stringed instruments prices are listed on pg. 14.

Can you help me choose an instrument to buy?

Yes, I can help you with that. Contact me and let me know your budget and we’ll take it from there.

What is your fee policy?

Please see my feel policy at the bottom of each class description.

I’ve played before. Should I take the beginner class?

If you’ve played for 2 years or less, it’s best to start with the beginner class and make sure you have a solid foundation. If you haven’t played in a while, the beginner class will hep you establish good technique, after which you may decide to skip a level. Feel free to contact me to discuss your situation.

How do I know what level I am at?

For classes that require experience, I will post examples of music you should be able to play for that class. Otherwise, feel free to contact me to discuss your situation.

Can I switch classes if I decide I am in the wrong level?

Yes! So long as there is room, you are welcome to switch classes if the current one is too difficult or is not challenging you enough.
